A Leadership Investment in Hunger Relief

An Opportunity to Shape the Future of Food Security in South Texas

The South Texas Food Bank is at a pivotal moment. As food insecurity continues to rise across the eight counties we serve, our organization is distributing more food than ever before. This success—made possible by committed partners and generous donors—has pushed our North Warehouse to full capacity.

To continue meeting community need without interruption, we must act now.

We invite you to join us as a leadership donor in a $2 million Capital Campaign to expand and modernize a critical section of our North Warehouse—ensuring our infrastructure can support hunger relief for decades to come.

A Transformational Project, Not a Temporary Fix

This initiative goes far beyond adding shelving. It is a comprehensive renovation designed to increase capacity, improve safety, and strengthen long-term operational efficiency.

By raising the ceiling and upgrading core building systems, we will dramatically expand vertical storage—allowing us to safely store and distribute significantly more food without expanding our physical footprint.

This project includes:

  • Architectural design and engineering

  • Roof and ceiling reconstruction

  • Electrical rewiring and lighting upgrades

  • Fire sprinkler system installation

  • Improved insulation and upgraded HVAC

  • High-capacity racking and shelving systems

  • Logistics and safety enhancements

Our goal: Increase long-term capacity.

Together, these improvements will double or even triple storage capacity, relieve overcrowding, and allow us to accept more food when it is needed most.

Named Giving Opportunities

Major donors have the opportunity to underwrite critical components of this project and create a lasting legacy of impact:

  • Building Renovation – $1,200,000

  • Electrical Systems – $200,000

  • Warehouse Racking & Shelving – $200,000

  • Fire Sprinkler System – $120,000

  • HVAC Improvements – $80,000

  • Other Critical Project Needs – $200,000

Leadership donors contributing $80,000 or more will be recognized on a permanent donor wall inside the South Texas Food Bank’s North Warehouse.
