​Position Summary:

The Dock Worker supports the daily operations of the warehouse by assisting with the loading, unloading, staging, and organization of food donations and shipments. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient flow of goods in and out of the facility, helping us fulfill our mission to fight hunger in South Texas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load and unload trucks using pallet jacks, forklifts, or by hand

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming deliveries

• Sort and organize food donations and other goods in the dock and staging areas

• Assist with inventory control and storage processes

• Maintain a clean and safe dock area in compliance with safety standards

• Communicate with warehouse team members to ensure timely and accurate shipments

• Support special projects, distributions, and events as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Previous warehouse or dock experience a plus

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying temperatures

• Forklift certification (or willingness to become certified)

• Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills

• Commitment to the mission of the South Texas Food Bank

• Bilingual preferred

Working Conditions:

• Indoor/Outdoor job

• Must be able to work full-time

• Must be able to work evenings and Saturdays, as needed

• Minimal travel outside Webb County may be required

• Must comply with the company dress code
