In response to the sweltering heatwave, the South Texas Food Bank has been distributing bottled water and light snacks in the streets and parks of downtown Laredo to help the community stay hydrated.

The food bank launched the latest emergency response initiative, the Mobile Hydration Unit, to bring heat relief and hopefully avoid casualties among in our community.

The Mobile Hydration Unit is part of the food bank's Disaster Relief Program.
