Grant/Project Coordinator

The Grant/Project Coordinator will assist the Grant Writer in developing structures and systems to successfully implement and manage all components of awarded grants. The Grant/Project Coordinator will assist staff on the tasks required to adhere to grant compliance and reporting.
Responsibilities & Duties

Streamline the grant administration process from awarded grant application to end of grant cycle

Assist Grant Writer develop long-term strategies, systems, and structures to support the sustainability of grant funding

Research applicable grant opportunities

Create and maintain a grant database

Assist Grant Writer in creating and developing an effective execution plan for each grant that takes into consideration evaluation components (metrics), timeline, deadlines, and reporting.

Create documentation, including forms, timelines, and instructions based on grant requirements that program coordinators and relevant staff can use to successfully execute initiative

Help supervise grant goals, objectives, metrics, outcomes, and timelines in collaboration with grant writer, department directors, and program coordinators

Ensure compliance aligned to grant reporting timelines for all grant regulations, goals, objectives, data collection, and outcomes

Assist Grant Writer and Accounting Department with grant-related purchase order to ensure that all purchases fall within the scope of the grant and are within budget

Track and report on grant revenue, budgets, expenditures, and communicate status with all involved departments and staff

Assist Grant Writer prepare required grant amendments, drawdowns, progress reports, periodic reports, and annual reports as required by each grant.

Generate and manage reports.

Prepare grant reports and presentations for organization leadership

Assist with minor grant writing and grant budget planning as needed.

Help Grant Writer create a post-grant evaluation report to reflect on grant effectiveness and future recommendations to be presented to Executive Director and relevant department directors and staff

Participate in meetings, workshops, and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions.

Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Grant Writer, Director of Development and Marketing, and Executive Director.
Qualifications

Ability to perform physical labor as necessary to assist in achieving STFB Mission.

Must be able to work within an organizational structure.

Have reliable transportation.

Have a valid driver's license.
Specific to Position
-
Bachelor's degree in business or related field
-
1 - 3 years in project management or similar experience preferred
-
Understanding of grant funding policies and procedures and applicable local, state, and federal regulations preferred
-
Proficient in Microsoft Suite, spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and other computer applications

Strong communication skills
-
Strong business writing skills
-
Knowledge of QuickBooks a plus

Organized and meticulous with details
-
Ability to maintain a schedule and meet deadlines in a timely manner

Ability to interpret financial data and prepare budgets and financial grant reports

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality with sensitive information that may be needed for some grants, such as but not limited to employee information, upcoming projects, and related financials

Must be able to work full time

Must be able to work evenings and Saturdays, as needed

Minimal travel outside Webb County may be required.

Must be comfortable sharing an office space

Must comply with the company dress code

Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
