The South Texas Food Bank is seeking a CACFP-SFSP Coordinator to manage and maintain compliance of our Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) (after-school feeding sites) and Summer Food Service Program (SFSP).

Main Responsibilities:

Complete and maintain CACFP paperwork accurately and on time

Track meal counts, attendance, and menu records
-
Prepare children-friendly menus following USDA guidelines (My Plate)

Guide kitchen staff
-
Purchase food for meals
-
Keep inventory and work with budgets
-
Ensure compliance with CACFP-SFSP guidelines and regulations
-
Assist with meal planning in accordance with CACFP -SFSP requirements
-
Prepare for audits and inspections related to CACFP-SFSP
-
Communicate with staff to ensure CACFP -SFSP requirements are being met
-
Visit feeding sites on a regular basis
Preferred Qualifications:

Bilingual
-
Experience preparing children-friendly menus following USDA guidelines (not required)

Strong communication and computer literacy skills

Strong documentation experience preferred
-
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
-
Ability to meet deadlines and follow state and federal regulations

Proficiency in basic computer applications
Requirements
-
Bachelor's degree in a related field (nutrition, health, social work, etc.) preferred but not required

Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
-
Must be able to work in a kitchen setting

Must have an valid driver's license

Must be able to pass a background check and drug test prior to hiring

Must be able to be able to do some medium to heavy lifting and work indoors and outdoors
-
Schedule flexibility

Be punctual and have regular attendance

Wear required uniform
