January 11, 2018 (Laredo, TX) - Stella Artois and L&F Distributors shone bright this holiday season by lending a helping hand to those in need. No strangers to helping their community, L&F distributors donated $1 to the South Texas Food Bank for every case of Stella Artois sold between November 20th and December 31st.
Local and area representatives from the wholesaler presented a $1,500 ceremonial check to Alma Boubel, Executive Director of the South Texas Food Bank.
"The South Texas Food Bank is so grateful for all the help and support that L&F Distributors has given us over the years. This is not the first time they've stepped up to help and we are lucky to call them a partner in our fight against hunger," Boubel said.
With every dollar donated, the South Texas Food Bank can provide ten meals to the needy in the areas they service. That equals to 15,000 meals for the hungry with this donation. "The South Texas Food Bank helps a lot of people, but even then, only a portion of the need is met," stated Steve Lamantia of L&F Distributors. "We are just trying to cover that percentage that still needs help."
L&F Distributors also donated to other food banks throughout Texas including Harlingen, McAllen, Corpus Christi, and El Paso for a total of $13,000 disbursed.
