Galos visited four Kids Cafes

Laredo Morning Times photographer Ulysses Romero caught George and Martha Washington of the Washington Birthday Association in the person of John and Anna Benavides Galo visiting the South Texas Food Bank Kids Cafe at the Lamar Bruni Vergara Boys and Girls Club. The Big Red Kids Cafe is sponsored by the J.C. Pepe Trevino Jr. family. The Galos visited four Kids Cafes during the food bank’s 20th anniversary celebration. The Galos stressed to the children to stay in school, stay off drugs and eat healthy. Anna is a member of the South Texas Food Bank board. The Galo and Arturo Benavides Jr. families co-sponsor Kids Cafes at the Benavides Boys and Girls Club downtown and the Rio Bravo and El Cenizo Centers in south
Laredo.
